6th annual JCHS Improv Competition to be held Friday, November 21

JERSEYVILLE – The Jersey Community High School (JCHS) Theatre Departmetn will present its 6th annual Comedy Improvisation Competition Friday, November 21 at 7 p.m. in the JCHS Auditorium.

Tickets are on sale now in the JCHS office or call 498-5521 for more information. The tickets, $8, are for general admission seating.

Modeled after the popular ABC show “Whose Line Is It Anyway”, six JCHS teams will compete with each other. The six groups will compete for the Trout Cup. JCHS Improv teams in 1999 and 2000 won the Trout Cup at the Lewis & Clark First Night Competition and was stopped after the 2000 First Night. The trophy was named in honor of Mike Trout who was tragically killed in an automobile accident in November, 1999. He was chairman of the LCCC First Night Riverbend Committee.

Competing for the Trout Cup this year will be teams and players:

Team #1 - Captain Carlton Coughlin, Rebecca Allen, Haley Disterhoft, Katelyn Dougherty, Pat Madson, Britney Molloy, Alex Rudolph and LaTasha Warren;

Team #2 - Captain Emily Frazer, T.J. Cowan, Marissa Edwards, Ryan Holden, Bailey Manula, Molly McGuire, Christie Meyer, Katelyn Randolph;

Team #3 - Captain Tyler Hunt, Lynda Campbell, Andrew Dick, Nick Johnson, Kadi Lorton, Megan Mann, Killian Walsh, Emily Watkins;

Team #4 - Captain Patrick LeBlanc, Kristyn Brown, Bobby Campbell, Meagan McGlasson, Ben Murray, Jessica Wren, Nick Yates, Libby Young;

Team #5 - Captain Mary Helen McCoy, Sawyer Burton, Matthew Coyle, Jaelyn Hawkins, Stephanie Perkinson, Carli Short, Sarah Siemer, Chelci Wilson;

Team #6 - Captain Randy Trisler, Steve Fox, Jim Gorman, Sophie Martin, Dallas Merriman, Julie Schnettgoecke, Mitch Trask.
