Triad beats Jersey by one stroke at Westlake

JERSEYVILLE – Triad’s Jimmy Konsky shot a 4-under par 39 to win the top individual spot and help his Knights to a one-stroke victory at Westlake Country Club on Tuesday.

Triad finished with164 strokes as a team, while Jersey had 165. Southwestern shot a 180.

All of Jersey’s varsity players failed to break into the 30s. Kyle Wilson was best with his 40, while Kyle Stagner and Josh Steckel each carded a 41. Andrew Maul and Bradley Davis each had 43.

Brett Guthrie led the Piasa Birds with a 43.

Jersey heads to Alton on Monday for a triangular involving Alton and Granite City.
